The absurdity of blaming Putin for the problems of the American economy.
In order to be a master of deception you must be able to frame the discussion in such a bold way that nobody will be able to see the absurdity of your underlying assumptions.
To begin with, it is no great surprise that Biden would blame anybody and anything for the rise of inflation to levels we have not seen for 70 years. However, blaming Putin reaches such a new level in the world of the absurd that I have to take some time to comment. It is absolutely astonishing that the entire world of news, both in America and abroad have been sucked into trying to counter the blame game by pointing out that inflation was here before Putin. It is mind numbing to see that otherwise intelligent people seem unable to see the completely self contradictory nature of Biden’s attempt to unload his responsibilities on Putin.
In order to make my point I would like to take you back to 1985. The Lakers have finally broken the Celtic’s domination over their head to head match ups in a most spectacular fashion. They have won game 6 in the Boston Gardens and they have won the NBA championship. Imagine interviewing Larry Byrd after the game. “So what happened Larry, who is to blame for your loss to Magic and the Lakers” Can you for one second imagine Larry answering. “It is Magic Johnson’s fault”. Would that not have been a joke that everybody would have laughed with? It is no blame you ascribe to your opponent, it is credit that you give him when he beats your pants of.
It is so amazing to me that the same journalists that discuss the merits of Biden’s excuse that inflation is Putin’s fault, are also reporting on the sanctions we placed on Putin and exalt that the ruble has tanked because of our sanctions. I can only marvel and think “Hey stupid, in order to assign blame to somebody he has to be on the same team as you. If he is an enemy your hardship is his triumph. It was your job to protect us from our enemies. It is not blame but credit that Putin deserves if he turns the tables around on our sanctions and destroys our economy. You cannot take cover at the success of your enemy, or can you? Apparently you can if the whole world is populated by turkeys whose ability to be deceived is without known limitation”.
